Why does the Starscapes® F/X
Starbiz Package cost so much?
There are many ways to answer this question, here are some of my own personal theories into the pricing strategy of the Starscapes® Home Business Opportunity.
My Price Theory #1: Recoup your Initial Investment quickly with equally high product line
Compared to some other business opportunities, the Starbiz package is very affordable for what you get. Included in your Starbiz Pack is everything you will need for full training:
Instruction dvd that will show you exactly how to paint your murals demonstrated by owner/creator Joe Petrashek
Printed step by step secret how to manual that explains every aspect of the painting techniques and running your business
All the equipment you will need to start painting today
And enough paint supplies to do your 1st 80+ rooms!!
By the time you have used up all your paint supplies, you would have paid for your Starbiz package and made a huge chunk in profit!
Along with everything in your mailed package, as a licensed S.A.I. (Starscapes® Artist-Illusionist), you will gain accessed to our online Inner Circle Group of artists where we share ideas, ask questions, and get answers. There are already over 3900 posts as of this writing to help you with basically anything you may need help with! Plus there is also a private Campfire Chat room where you can mix and mingle with other licensed artists along with the owner of Starscapes®.
It's nice to be able to share this experience with others who are going through the same things and some of us keep in contact via email or on yahoo messenger! It's a great resource for forming your mastermind group to keep you focused on profiting from this business.
Let's do some calculations:
Suppose you start off charging a mere $5.00 per square foot for a basic theme and say all you do are small 10'x10' rooms = 100 sq/ft. $5.00 X 100 sq/ft = $500.00 per room, at the 8th room, you would break even and still have enough paint to do another 70+ rooms to earn you tons more money! By the way, a small room like this may take around 3 to 4 hours to do when you're new to painting.
My example above is obviously not typical since with experience, you'll not only paint faster but you can raise your prices as your art improves and the demand is higher. And others may want a more complex theme than the original backyard as I have shown here. Plus room sizes will vary. You could paint a much bigger room with a more in depth theme and with only a few of those under your belt, you will easily make back your initial investment and the rest as they say is "gravy".
In my first year, I recall painting 3 rooms in the same house. I made over $3000.00 for about 5 days to complete. My first paid mural was a discounted price to a friend of a friend (love those word of mouth referrals) in a small 9'x10' bedroom for just $150.00. That took me less than 2 hours to complete. I've also done some larger rooms with more intricate themes, one in particular made me close to $1500 in a day's work...granted, I did paint for about 8-9 hours.
As you can see, the jobs can vary, it really depends on each client and their situation. Once you paint a handful of murals, you will gain the confidence to go seek out more jobs and get your business going in the right direction!
So when you're looking at what the potential is to making money compared to the initial investment, Starscapes® Home Business Opportunity is more than reasonable in affordability! With just a handful of jobs, you can make back your starbiz package cost and start your way to great profits!
My Price Theory #2: Unsaturated market for only serious artists
This idea is so unique and the market is definitely not saturated with SAIs. By maintaining a higher price, it ensures only those serious about this business will join. Imagine for a moment if the cost was only $500.00 to become the next "Painter of Dreams™", more folks would become artists and in your local market, competition would be much higher for you.
I personally see the rising price as a benefit for my business considering I am already a Licensed Starscapes® Artist. The less competition, the better! If it was cheap to get into this business, lots more people will be doing it and make this type of artwork less unique. Also, a lower price would make Starscapes® seem less of a high end product as competitors will try to offer cut throat prices. There's truth in the saying "You get what you pay for". A lower price will also attract more fly by night curious seekers who may not take this business seriously and could potential tarnish the brand name by conducting themselves in a less stellar fashion.
So who are you? Are you a curiosity seeker who jumps from opportunity to opportunity trying to find the next get rich quick scheme or are you serious about getting into a real legitimate business that will inspire you and delight your customers?
As I've mentioned on a previous page, you really don't want to wait too long if you feel this is the business for you. I'm not trying to rush you into making a decision or say this in an attempt to sell you on the opportunity.
I want you to know that I had first hand experience of the price increase when I found Starscapes® in October 2002. I knew for sure this is the opportunity I had been waiting for but didn't have the money to join. I started thinking up business ideas for my future painting business before I was even a SAI. I purchased my own domain (CosmicRooms.com) and started designing my website in February 2003 (I do web designing on the side). I began saving up money month after month from my day job and in June 2003, I was finally able to jump on board with their financing offer.
In the short 9 months I waited, the price had risen almost $1000.00!!
But to me, it wasn't a deal breaker at that point because if I didn't get in on Starscapes® then, who knows when I would have been a Starscapes® Artist-Illusionist. I figure I would put my money down and get the package right away. I would start promoting and painting to earn the rest of the financed amount. And with the increase in price, I thought I would just need to paint a couple of extra murals to make up for the cost of hesitating.
If you know this is right for you and have the means to buy into starbiz in full or finance, NOW is the time to do it.
My Price Theory #3: Trade secrets, you are paying for the concept of creating Starscapes®
Essentially, I think the big bucks is for the idea, the highly kept trade secret of Starscapes® painting techniques. The special techniques that make doing this business so easy that literally anyone can do it, regardless of your artistic ability or lack thereof! The owner of Starscapes® dreamed up this ingenious idea and he charges a pretty penny for knowing how to apply all that he's created into a business you can make thousands on! Not only are these one of a kind techniques held in the strictest of confidence, when you become a SAI yourself, you sign an agreement to not divulge this secret info to the general public. Sure others may try to guess at how it's done or attempt it in a trial and error fashion but we have a proven step by step blueprint that's been working for well over a decade!
The SAI trade secret agreement is beneficial for two reasons. One, everything is kept exclusively within our family of Artist-Illusionists and Two, if a customer inquires about how you actually do the painting, you can easily say "that's a trade secret, I'm bound by legal agreement to not disclose." The customer is usually ok with that response but boy, does it ever peg their curiosity! The mystery surrounding this secret proprietary process adds to the intrigue of your Starscapes® F/X Murals, your customers will be astounded by the finished results and wonder, how the heck did you do that so quickly and make it so realistic??!! "WOW!!" is often what I hear from my customers....they'll be jumping to show it off to all their friends and family!
Now, those are just three of my theories on why I think the Starscapes® Starbiz Package cost what it does. Of course there are most likely other reasons you can come up with and that only the owner is privy to but for me, I'm satisfied with my own reasoning.
